Perpetual Care

All donations received for the Union Soldier Statue Restoration will be held under the stewardship of the Crystal Lake Historical Society.  Once the restoration of the statue, base, and surrounding Veterans Concourse are completed, remaining funds will be used for ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the monument. 

Examples of anticipated future fund use include: enhanced landscaping and periodic flag replacement.

The Society will continue to work closely with the American Legion and Union Cemetery Board of Directors to determine maintenance needs.
